I'm Coming Back Home
On November 1, 2021, I'll be home to film a portion of my upcoming documentary, So Happy Inside, which details my fifty years of mental health challenges as a creative.
While I'm there, I'd like to share the talk I give across the country called the Cheat Codes 2 Life. In my speech I reference growing up on the Big Island and since I'm coming home, I desperately want to share this message to Generation Z students while there.
For this special tour, I am reducing my set speaking fee to whatever budget your school has allocated for students and their mental health.
Three Takeaways from Speech

Increased Self-Worth
According to Bank of America, Generation Z is the most disruptive Generation to date - yet suicide rates and depression are at an all time high. Coach Troy reminds students that they are a royal generation. They are GEN Z.
Ignore the Score
Bullies like to keep score. Coach Troy encourages your students to ignore the score from bullies and focus on what's important to them. He shares a story of scoring his first basket vs Kamehameha High after shooting an airball granny shot free throw.
The Value of Money
There is revealing data that teens who understand personal finance and how it works have an improved mental health. Coach Troy gives a basic explanation of why knowing money is greater than having money.
